Vistage Cost in 2026: The Real Numbers Nobody Publishes

Vistage costs about $1,380 a month plus a $2,500 enrollment fee, around $19,000 in year one. Real 2026 numbers by program, before you take the sales call.

Vistage won't tell you what it costs.

Not on their website. Not on a pricing page (there isn't one). You find out on a sales call, after a membership rep and a local chair have qualified you.

That's a strange setup for a decision that runs around $19,000 in year one.

I've paid for peer groups before. I spent $13,000 on a mastermind when I was making $15K to $20K a month with my SaaS. Looked reckless at the time. Six months later I was at $75K a month. So I'm not here to tell you peer groups are a scam.

I'm here to tell you the actual Vistage cost, where the numbers come from, and the hidden costs the sales call skips. Then you can decide with real information instead of a pitch.

Vistage Cost in 2026: The Short Answer

Vistage doesn't publish fees, so these numbers come from member reports and independent reviews (Long Angle and First Page Sage both land on the same figures), not an official rate card. Your local group can differ.

Here's what members consistently report:

ProgramWho it's forEnrollment feeMonthly duesYear one total
Chief ExecutiveCEOs, usually $5M+ revenue~$2,500~$1,380~$19,000
Small BusinessOwners under ~$5M revenue~$2,500~$1,000 to $1,300~$14,500 to $18,000
Key ExecutiveSenior execs, not the CEO~$2,500A notch under CEO dues~$14,000 to $17,000
Emerging LeadersHigh-potential managersVariesVaries~$5,000 to $10,000

The headline number most founders care about: the flagship Chief Executive program runs about $1,380 a month in dues, plus a one-time enrollment fee around $2,500. That's roughly $16,500 a year ongoing, about $19,000 in your first year.

Some members report dues anywhere from $1,200 to $1,800 a month depending on the city and the group. Big metro groups with well-known chairs sit at the top of that range.

Why Vistage Hides the Price

Because the price is a filter, and the sales call is the product demo.

Vistage sells through local chairs (the people who run each group and take a cut of dues). The model works best when a chair can anchor the conversation on ROI before you ever see a dollar figure. "What would one great decision be worth to your business?" is a much easier conversation than "$1,380 a month."

It also lets pricing float by market. The same membership can cost different amounts in Dallas and San Francisco, and nobody can compare notes against a public rate card.

None of this is evil. But go into the call knowing the number, because the person on the other side already does.

The Hidden Costs Nobody Mentions on the Call

The dues are the visible part. Four other costs matter just as much.

1. Time. A Vistage CEO group meets one full day per month. Add a monthly 1:1 with your chair, plus speaker events. Call it 12 to 15 working days a year. If your effective rate as a founder is $200 an hour, that's another $20,000+ of founder time on top of the dues.

2. Annual increases. Vistage's membership terms let dues rise every year, typically each October. The number you sign at is the cheapest it will ever be.

3. The non-refundable enrollment fee. That ~$2,500 is gone the moment you sign, even if the group turns out to be a bad fit.

4. The exit terms. You can't just stop. After your first 90 days, Vistage requires 90 days' written notice to cancel. Decide in June you're done, you're still paying through September.

→ Real year-one cost for a CEO member: ~$19,000 cash plus two to three weeks of your time.

Is the Vistage Cost Justified at Your Stage?

Depends entirely on what you're running.

Vistage is built for CEOs of established companies, think $5M to $50M revenue, with a leadership team and real management problems. For that person, $16,500 a year is a rounding error, and sitting with 12 to 16 other operators who've handled a COO firing or a bank renegotiation is genuinely hard to find elsewhere. I wrote a full breakdown in Is Vistage Worth It? An Honest Review for Founders.

But if you're a bootstrapped SaaS founder at $10K, $20K, $30K MRR?

$19,000 might be your entire marketing budget. The bigger problem: it buys you a room where almost nobody shares your problems. The 58-year-old owner of a $20M logistics company is impressive, but he's never debated usage-based pricing, never fought churn on a $49/month product, never shipped a feature solo at 1am.

When I paid $13K for my mastermind, the money wasn't the point. The fit was. Everyone in that room was a few steps ahead of me on the exact path I was walking. That's what moved me from $15K to $75K a month, not the price tag.

A $2,000 group that fits your stage beats a $19,000 one that doesn't.

What $16,500 a Year Buys You Elsewhere

For the same annual spend as Vistage dues, you could fund basically your entire founder support stack:

  • A focused SaaS founder mastermind: $2,000 to $10,000 a year
  • A great business coach, twice a month: $6,000 to $12,000 a year
  • Two conferences with flights and hotels: $4,000 to $6,000
  • Every book and course you'll actually finish: under $1,000

Or any one of those, plus $10K back into ads, a contractor, or your own salary.

I compared the strongest options (with real prices for each) in 7 Vistage Alternatives Ranked by a Founder Who Paid $13K. The short version: for SaaS founders under $1M ARR, smaller and more specific beats bigger and more prestigious, every time.

How to Decide in 15 Minutes

Skip the two-week deliberation. Answer these:

→ Is your company doing $3M+ with a real leadership team? Vistage starts making sense. Take the call.

→ Are management and people problems your bottleneck (not growth, not distribution)? Point for Vistage.

→ Would losing $19K this year hurt your runway? Don't do it. A peer group should be bought from profit, not hope.

→ Are your real problems SaaS-specific (churn, pricing, distribution, hiring your first dev)? Get in a room of SaaS founders instead, at a tenth of the price.

And if you take the Vistage call anyway: ask for the exact dues for your local group in writing, ask when they last increased, and ask to sit in on one meeting before you pay the enrollment fee. Chairs can arrange a guest visit. If yours won't, that tells you something.

At $5K to $50K MRR and want a room that actually matches your stage?

That's exactly why I built Profitable Founder Club: a mastermind for bootstrapped SaaS founders pushing to $100K MRR. Bi-weekly calls where we solve 3 member problems live, monthly Q&As with $100K+ MRR founders, batches capped at 20 people. No $2,500 enrollment fee, no 90-day exit clause.

FAQ

How much does Vistage cost per month?

Members of the flagship Chief Executive program report dues around $1,380 per month, with a range of roughly $1,200 to $1,800 depending on your city and group. Small Business and Key Executive programs run somewhat less. Vistage doesn't publish official pricing, so confirm the exact figure for your local group in writing before signing.

Does Vistage charge a joining fee?

Yes. There's a one-time enrollment fee, commonly reported around $2,500, on top of monthly dues. It's non-refundable, which is why I'd push to attend a group meeting as a guest before paying it.

Can you negotiate Vistage pricing?

Not really. Dues are set per group and chairs rarely discount. What you can do: ask about the Small Business program if you're under ~$5M revenue (lower dues, same format), and ask when the last October increase happened so you know what's coming.

What is Vistage's cancellation policy?

After your first 90 days of membership, you need to give 90 days' written notice to cancel, and you pay dues through that notice period. The enrollment fee is not refunded. Read your membership agreement before signing, not after.

Is Vistage more expensive than EO or YPO?

In cash terms, usually yes. EO typically lands around $4,000 to $6,000 a year all-in, and YPO around $7,000 to $10,000 with chapter fees, though YPO has hard entry gates (age and company size). Vistage's $16,500 a year makes it the priciest of the three for most members, because you're paying for a professional chair who runs the group.

How much does a mastermind cost compared to Vistage?

Founder masterminds range from free peer circles to $30K+ "genius network" tiers, with most quality paid groups between $2,000 and $10,000 a year. I broke down the full market in How Much Does a Mastermind Cost? Real 2026 Numbers.
